Earn Club Vistara points on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights
Club Vistara (CV) is the frequent flyer miles program of the TATA-Singapore Airlines joint venture airline in India. The airline seems to be very aggressively rolling out tie-ups with its parent company and the subsidiaries, which is a clear sign of its intent to fly abroad soon. Vistara has won rave reviews about its quality of service although it is yet to get more traction in terms of market share as it still seems to be busy adding new routes although load factor seems to be an area of concern.
Vistara has announced that from March 30, 2015, Club Vistara members would be able to earn Club Vistara points on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights. The number of points to be credited will be calculated as follows:
As of now, I would still keep crediting my points to Singapore Airlines Krisflyer as it offers me better redemption options and given that Vistara still doesn’t fly internationally or offer any cheaper redemption options compared to parent Singapore Airlines, I see no reason to switch for myself but this maybe a good option for someone who travels more domestically and given the pace of Vistara’s expansion may end up finding a good use of them. You can sign up for Club Vistara here and earn 500 bonus points if you fly within one month of enrolment and if you fly Delhi-Hyderabad sector you an add a sweet 1000 points on top of it. If anyone of you has had a chance to travel with them, let me know of your experiences in the comments below.
