The sale is exclusively for Etihad Guest members (free to join if you’re not already), and runs from August 31st through September 2nd, that’s right, it’s essentially over by tomorrow. More than 25,000 GuestSeats are available for this three day flash sale, but given how quickly these typically disappear, I’d recommend booking today if any of these destinations are on your radar.
Which Destinations Are Included?
The sale covers flights from Abu Dhabi to Etihad’s newest route additions for 2025. The destinations include Addis Ababa, Algiers, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Krabi, Medan (Sumatra), Peshawar, Phnom Penh (Cambodia), and Tunis.
What makes this particularly interesting is the variety we’re looking at everything from Southeast Asian beach destinations like Krabi to emerging African markets like Addis Ababa. You could be eating dim sum in Hong Kong for just 15,000 miles in Economy, stretching out in Business on a Phnom Penh flight for 49,000 miles, or trying Etihad’s new First Suites on the Abu Dhabi–Krabi route from 84,000 miles.

Travel Window: Travel dates are available from the launch of each new destination until December 15, 2025. This gives you a solid booking window to plan around, though keep in mind that these new routes may not launch immediately.

For a non-alliance airline, they’ve built an impressive network through partnerships, the largest global partnership and frequent flyer network of any non-allianced airline, according to their own marketing.
What’s particularly compelling about Etihad Guest miles is that members typically get access to more award space on Etihad flights than partner programs do. The program has undergone some significant changes recently, including more restrictive cancellation policies and stricter mileage expiration rules. Miles expire if you don’t have qualifying activity (actual flight credits, not just transfers or purchases) within 18 months.
